Edmund Harris truly embodies the essence of the phrase, 'To each one, teach one'. From the moment we met in the mid 90's, he has always impressed me with belief in helping young African Americans succeed in today's society. He is a creator, leader and passionate motivator who loves what he does. More importantly, he maintains a constant awareness of the areas where society is trending and uses that knowledge when advising the youth of today. I have personally seen him work with former high school All-Americans in hoops with SAT prep training and they were able to secure qualifying test scores as a result.Ed Harris is a success because he has developed a 'blueprint to academic success' for many others and their results reflect his work.

Edmond Harris,I want to congratulate you on your organization and the work it promotes within the communities you serve. Over the past 20 plus years in working with you and knowing you, you have always showed an interest in working with youth, empowering people and improving the community which you are involved in. While working with you in the Los Angeles area and surrounding communities which included setting up educational programs to help improve students SAT scores, college prep workshops, Young Black Scholars and the list goes on, but all that you have been involved with or developed have turned out to be well organized and truly benefited all that came in contact with you and your programs.
Edmond my brother and friend I appreciated all that you have given to your communities and the uplift of our youth the future leaders of our communities. God will continue to bless you and all that you develop and implement for your organization and the betterment and empowerment of our communities.

Mr. Harris has been more than helpful to me, my family and friends. While participating in other college bound programs, I find Mr. Harris knowledge, contacts, and sources far exceeds any of the other programs my family has been in. With the help of Mr. Harris, my daughter has had an interview with Harvard, Columbia and Yale and is looking forward to interviewing with other Ivy League Schools. My 15 year old son has begun taking college classes with the encouragement and confidence Mr. Harris displays in the college academic preparedness knowledge he has. My son is striving for all A’s like his sister. He is on track to attend any UC of his choosing. Thanks Mr. Harris for imparting your time, knowledge and sincerity.Z. Guiten

Very few men uphold fatherhood, brotherhood and friendship like Ed Harris. His interests and love for students and families is unprecedented. Over the past 20 years we have worked together, Ed had created an atmosphere of undeniable educated relevence. The Black History Bowl, Brothers Gonna Work It Out, Young Black Scholars, UCLA, USC, and a host of other organizations and institutions have benefitted from his educational excellence. Ed has worked to see students graduate, not just go to college. My friend, I thank you for your time, patience and effort in the gift to our young. Only a true and dedicated brother could last as long as you. I give my support and praise to a man of your capacity. Forward Ever, Backwards Never!

Edmund brings uniques qualities to the task of educating our children. First, he is caring and compassionate. He immediately bonds with students because they sense his basic "goodmess". Second, he is very knowledgeable especially in the area of math and college preparation. Third, he is dedicated and dependable. He is willing to go the extra mile to ensure that the students learns. Forth, he is resourceful and imaginative. He has a gift of connecting to students and leading them to desire to learn. Finally, he is dependable. I could always count of Edmund to follow through and to guide our Med-COR students to discover their "best selves". Edmund is a rare human being and for him I have "nothing but love"...Dr. John A. Thank you for the genuine dedication and passion you have in providing educational services to under privileged students and improving their lives by preparing them to attend the best institutions of higher learning. As a truth, your success in student improvement speaks for itself and has been demonstrated in College Fairs, ACT results and higher GPA’s that are unmistakably superior to the established test organizations, but also, to college organizations who did not present pertinent information and material to their students. From your instruction methods and something I witnessed also, the students you prepared have gained a better understanding of what it takes to be considered for admissions into the top Universities. Your accomplishments are endless, notwithstanding the preeminence of your credentials as an engineer and the impression of your accomplishments at UCLA and USC, but none of these can measure up to your good heart. However, the greatest honor applies to the selflessness and compassion you have in helping those who are less fortunate. You are a great man…..I didn’t say good. I have known you for more than 50 years and only God could put in you, the good heart you have. The contributions and sacrifices you make to help the poor, less fortunate and disenfranchised, are testimony to the beauty in all of God’s creation. Minister Greg Goodwin

Brother Harris,It is wonderful to see that after more than 40 years, you are still committed to the cause of social justice and working to improve the plight of those less fortunate in our underserved communities. I have known you since we were freshmen together at San Jose STate University in 1969, sitting as empty pitchers before full fountains such as Dr. Leonard Jefferies. You were among the best and the brightest then and now.
You have always been a source of inspiration and reason. May the Lord bless you in your new and continuing endeavors to help "the least of these". If I can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.

As a long time colleague of Edmund Harris at UCLA Undergraduate Admissions, I saw the hardest working, most dedicated admissions counselor one could hope to work with all families and students. Edmund’s high sense of personal responsibility for his community, and for all underserved families, earned him the respect of the staff including Winston Doby, Vice-Chancellor of Student Affairs, now emeritus. Edmund is an ethical and intelligent man who will demonstrate success with measurable data, and will keep working long after the students have graduated from college, and become contributing members of our world.
